John Surtees greatest success came at the 1964 season driving for Ferrari, where at the last round in Mexico City three drivers had the chance to win the title, Jim Clark who led most of the race but was forced to stop due to oil leak and classified 5th, Graham Hill who made contact with Lorenzo Bandini and finished 11th, and Surtees whom teammate Bandini let him pass to finish in 2nd place, winning the title by 1 point over Hill, here Bandini and Hill at the “Horquilla” corner
